Amarillo Slim
Amarillo Slim (Thomas Austin Preston Jr.) was an American professional poker player born on December 31, 1928, in Johnson, Arkansas, who died on April 29, 2012. He holds four World Series of Poker bracelets, including the 1972 WSOP No-Limit Hold'em Main Event championship, which he won in the inaugural $10,000 buy-in edition of that event. He was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 1992. He founded the Amarillo Slim Super Bowl of Poker tournament series, which ran from 1979 to 1991.
