Amir Vahedi
Amir Vahedi was born on February 25, 1961, in Tehran, Iran. He served in the Iranian army during the Iran-Iraq War before emigrating to Germany and later settling in Sherman Oaks, California. He won one WSOP bracelet at the 2003 World Series of Poker in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em event for $270,000, and that same year finished 6th in the 2003 WSOP Main Event for $250,000. His total live tournament earnings were approximately $3,276,000. He passed away on January 8, 2010.
