Bill Chen

Bill Chen (born 1970 in Williamsburg, Virginia) is an American professional poker player and mathematician. He holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, and heads the Statistical Arbitrage department at Susquehanna International Group. He won two WSOP bracelets at the 2006 WSOP: the $3,000 Limit Hold'em event for $343,618 and the $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em Short-Handed event for $442,511. He has accumulated $1,920,338 in total live tournament earnings per The Hendon Mob. He co-authored The Mathematics of Poker with Jerrod Ankenman.
