Billy Baxter

Billy Baxter is an American professional poker player from Augusta, Georgia, and a seven-time WSOP bracelet winner — all in lowball events, including six victories in No-Limit Deuce-to-Seven Draw (1975, 1978, two in 1982, 1987, 1993) and one in $1,500 Razz (2002). He was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2006. His recorded lifetime tournament earnings total $3,257,126. Off the felt, Baxter won the landmark federal case Baxter v. United States, successfully establishing that professional poker winnings constitute earned income.
