Daniel Idema
Daniel Idema is a Canadian professional poker player born in 1985 in Delta, British Columbia. His first live cash came in 2007. He holds three World Series of Poker bracelets: the 2011 WSOP $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship for $378,642; the 2013 WSOP Event #39: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo for $184,590; and the 2015 WSOP $3,000 H.O.R.S.E. event for $261,774. He has accumulated $2,537,938 in total live tournament earnings per The Hendon Mob. A hockey injury in his youth ended his aspirations for a professional hockey career; he was subsequently introduced to poker by his brother, poker player and commentator Adam Schwartz.
