Gavin Smith

Gavin Smith was a Canadian professional poker player born on September 4, 1968, who passed away on January 14, 2019. He accumulated $6,321,096 in total live tournament earnings per The Hendon Mob. He won the 2005 WPT Mirage Poker Showdown for $1,128,278, also earning the WPT Season IV Player of the Year award. He won a WSOP gold bracelet at the 2010 WSOP, taking down the $2,500 Mixed Hold'em event. Before turning professional, he worked as a poker dealer and later operated his own poker club in Kitchener, Ontario.
