Gus Hansen

Gustav "Gus" Hansen is a Danish professional poker player from Copenhagen, Denmark, currently based in Monaco. He was the first player in history to win three World Poker Tour open championship events. He won one WSOP bracelet at the 2010 WSOP Europe Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em event for £288,409 (approximately $444,925). He won the 2007 Aussie Millions Main Event in Melbourne for A$1,500,000. He has accumulated over $10,430,000 in total live tournament earnings per The Hendon Mob. Before switching to poker in 1997, he competed as a professional backgammon player and was a junior tennis champion.
