Ivan Demidov

Ivan Demidov (born 1981) is a Russian professional poker player who graduated from Moscow State University with a degree in mathematics. He finished 2nd in the 2008 WSOP $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event for $5,809,595, losing to Peter Eastgate in heads-up play from a field of 6,844 entries. That same year, he also reached the final table of the WSOP Europe Main Event, becoming the first player to reach the final of both the WSOP Las Vegas Main Event and the WSOP Europe Main Event in a single year. He was recognized as the European Poker Awards' Breakthrough of the Year in 2008. He has accumulated $6,647,422 in total live tournament earnings per WSOP.com.
