James Akenhead

James Akenhead was born on June 6, 1983, in London, England, and is a British professional poker player who worked as a railroad conductor before turning professional. He was the sole British player to reach the 2009 WSOP Main Event final table, finishing ninth for $1,263,602. In the same year, he also finished ninth at the 2009 WSOP Europe Main Event. In 2009, he won the Poker Million 8 for $500,000. His total live tournament earnings are approximately $3,687,406.
