Joe Hachem is an Australian professional poker player born on March 11, 1966, in Tripoli, Lebanon, who moved to Melbourne, Australia at age six. He has accumulated $13,052,429 in total live tournament earnings per The Hendon Mob. Hachem won the 2005 WSOP Main Event for $7,500,000, becoming the first Australian to win that title. The following year, he won the 2006 WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic at the Bellagio for $2,200,000. He holds one World Series of Poker bracelet. Before his poker career, Hachem worked as a chiropractor for thirteen years before a rare blood disorder affecting the blood vessels in his hands forced him to stop practicing.
