If you play tournaments anywhere between Bismarck and Billings, you already know the Roughrider Poker Tour. RPT has been steadily growing for years in the Dakotas, Montana, and Minnesota. They've even added a big event in June of 2027 at The Golden Nugget.
RPT runs $300 one-day deep stacks in VFW halls and Eagles clubs, multi-day casino festivals with six-figure prize pools, and everything in between. Players chase separate Player of the Year races on the Dakotas and Montana leaderboards, and the winners walk away with real hardware: custom trophies from Dakota Awards and RPT bracelets from Westley's Jewelry.
Our coverage for the event this week at Jackpot Junction in Morton Minnesota starts Thursday morning and runs right through the end of the main event Sunday night. And we're bringing everyone's favorite Midwest reporter, Minnesota Molly, to help with hand histories, chip counts, and fun!
After Jackpot Junction, the tour heads to Deadwood for the $1,140 Deadwood Shootout on November 5-8, with a $400,000+ estimated prize pool.
