Ryan Riess, known in the poker world as "Riess the Beast," hails from Michigan and has been playing poker professionally for 14 years. He first got into the game by participating in home games with friends during high school.
Riess won the World Series of Poker Main Event in 2013 for over eight million dollars and the most coveted trophy in all of poker, the Main Event Bracelet. In total, he has almost seventeen million dollars in tournament winnings in his career. Outside of poker, he is a proud 'girl dad' and a big supporter of the CSOP, where he has two runner up finishes.
Thanks to Ryan for everything he does for us, and thanks to so many poker pros who play our events and give people a chance to play with them and raise money for our amazing charities!
