The Progressive Knockout Event was a big hit with 170 entries! Ram Tahhusoglu was ecstatic to play heads up with local legend Nabil Hirezi and the two joked and complimented each other in a wonderful display of respect and sportsmanship throughout a long heads up match that started with nearly 150 big blinds in play.
Tahhusoglu has nearly $50,000 in tournament winnings for his career, but this was his first trophy. As Tahhusoglu pointed out, Hirezi has an extensive trophy collection, and won the first WPT in the state of Florida, the $3,500 WPT Jacksonville bestbet Open, for over $200,000. As you can see above, Ram was all smiles with his trophy!
