Prize Pool

We had 298 entries for our single day 100k event at Texas Card House, presented by PokerAtlas. We are closing in on the bubble now, but expect the tournament to go late into the night. Completing an event with a field this large in a single day isn't easy, but the staff at TCH are fantastic and everything has been smooth sailing so far.

Ikechukwu 'Ike' Nlemchi hails from Houston, Texas, and has been playing poker for six years. He began his journey in the game through home games and has since racked up $487,771 in tournament winnings, including multiple significant wins in both holdem and Omaha events in Texas and Las Vegas. Outside of poker, Ike runs his own security company. We've enjoyed his friendly personality and willingness to smile for a photo when most grinders simply scowl or look at their phones. Thanks Ike!

The traditional ante format requires the floor to wait on coloring up chips until later in the day, which has created giant piles of chips that players are loving. With a $30,000 prize pool, the players are serious, but seem to be having a ton of fun. With the black chips still in play, some players have literally hundreds of chips in their stacks even though the stacks aren't particularly deep compared to the blinds.

This event will finish up tonight with a winner taking home the beautiful Atlas trophy and $9,160. We will have a final table update soon.

Trung Pham got the the big side of a chop, but Gabriel Andrade doesn't usually agree to a deal unless it involves taking the trophy home for his son. It was late, and everyone wanted to get a deal done, so Andrade took the trophy and the photo and they called it a night. This multi-flight PLO event was a huge success, generating a prize pool of over $111,000 with crazy day 1 action in multiple flights.

Event #4 - $400 Multi-Flight PLO — Wrap Up

Texas Card House Houston delivered the expected fireworks as the PokerAtlas Tour $400 Pot-Limit Omaha event surged past its $100,000 guarantee, drawing 339 total entries to build a $111,870 prize pool. With re entries flying in from the opening levels and stacks swinging wildly, the early flights were completely wild.

Early action set the tone, including a three way all-in preflop collision where A Q 7 7 faced T 9 8 5 and Q 8 7 5. The A hit the flop and one pair held to scoop a massive pot and send two players to the rebuy line.

The pay jumps were big at the final table, and the late stages featured plenty of pressure spots as short stacks fought to ladder. After hours of play, Trung Pham got the big side of the chop for $19,470, with Andrade taking $15,755 and James Craven finishing third for $14,575.

Akash Mazumdar took down our Black Chip Bounty here at Texas Card House Houston for $5,340, a mountain of black chip bounties, and a beautiful Atlas trophy last night. Mazumdar is a sixteen-year tournament veteran and this cash brings his lifetime winnings total to over $125,000.

Event #10 - $350 NLH - Black Chip Bounty — Wrap Up

The Black Chip Bounty drew 92 entries, creating a $18,400 prize pool with an additional $9,200 set aside for bounties. A packed room and a lively photo gallery capture the mix of Texas smiles and bounty hunting intensity as players chased knockouts and a top heavy payout.

Charles Davis, fresh off winning the $140 Monster Stack earlier in the day, stayed in contention deep enough to make us wonder if he could win two events in on eday, but the finish ultimately belongs to Akash Mazumdar of Wallingford, Connecticut. Mazumdar navigated the final table and converted his momentum into the outright win and the $5,340 first prize. Jeffrey Nowling was our runner up for $3,570, while Hao Vu took third for $2,400.

Charles Davis, who won the $140 monster stack earlier today, is still alive in this one, chasing the chance to win two tournaments in one day.
