Gabe Kaplan

Gabriel Weston Kaplan (born March 31, 1945) is an American actor, comedian, and professional poker player born in Brooklyn, New York. He won the 1980 Amarillo Slim's Super Bowl of Poker Main Event for $190,000. He finished second in the 2005 WSOP $5,000 Limit Hold'em event, winning $222,515. He has accumulated $2,015,776 in total live tournament earnings per The Hendon Mob. Outside poker, Kaplan created and starred in the television sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter (1975–1979) and later served as a commentator for High Stakes Poker on GSN and the National Heads-Up Poker Championship on NBC.
