RPT @ JACKPOT JUNCTION — Series Totals

Events Completed: 2 | Total Entries: 342 | Total Prize Pool: $167,340

RPT Main Event — Wrap Up

The RPT MN Main Event drew 291 entries to build a $157,140 prize pool, and Day 2 began with 42 players chasing the $28,740 top prize and the themed bracelet.

Early momentum swung on several key doubles, including Tyler Kolness holding with K♥ K♦ over J♠ J♣, and Jacob Ranheim surviving with A♠ 4♠ against A♥ K♥ after pairing on 8♥ 7♦ 4♥.

Steve Belland grabbed chips when his J♠ J♣ spiked the J♦ turn versus Bob Van Syckle’s A♥ A♣, but his run ended later when Jordan Handrich’s 4♠ 4♦ held against Belland’s K♣ 8♥ after a K♠ Q♦ 4♥ 8♠ board.

Matt Alexander steadily climbed, knocking out Kyle Schneider with 8♠ 8♦ and then winning a pivotal cooler when Connor McStay’s A♣ A♦ ran into Alexander’s flopped set 2♥ 2♣ on T♥ 9♣ 2♠.

The final table accelerated as Alexander sent Tim Votava out with Q♦ Q♠ over A♥ J♦, then eliminated Tyler Kolness when A♦ K♠ outflopped Q♥ Q♦. Alexander’s closing stretch continued with Robert “Muzz” Anderson exiting in third when Alexander’s J♠ 9♣ straight was already in against A♣ K♠ on K♣ Q♠ 3♦ 10♠.

With stacks nearly even, Alexander and Alan Carlson agreed to an even chop for $22,870 apiece, and Alexander was awarded the bracelet as the official winner.

Highlight Hands:
