Tyler Kolness, known to some on the Roughrider Poker Tour as 'RPTK' or 'TKOL,' hails from Hendrum, Minnesota. He began playing poker nearly a decade ago while backpacking in Australia. A rainy night in a hostel led to a game with $2 coins, sparking his competitive spirit and a lasting passion for the game.
Kolness's most memorable poker moment was cashing in the Main Event during his first attempt. Outside of poker, Tyler is involved in ad sales for his father's company, Heritage Publications, a role that allows him the flexibility to travel for tournaments. Additionally, he bartends at events and engages in online flipping ventures.
