Noel Furlong
Noel Furlong (December 25, 1937 – June 27, 2021) was an Irish businessman and poker player from Dublin who built his fortune through Furlong Flooring, a carpet manufacturing company. He accumulated $1,145,806 in total live tournament earnings per The Hendon Mob. Furlong won the Irish Poker Open in 1987 and 1989. At his first WSOP in 1989, he finished 6th in the Main Event. He won the 1999 World Series of Poker Main Event for $1,000,000, defeating Alan Goehring in heads-up play at a final table that also included Padraig Parkinson and Erik Seidel.
